Cleared For Take-Off Academy is operated by Wild Hearts Publishing Pty Ltd (ABN 34 695 911 025), an Australian company. This privacy policy applies to our website at academy.clearedfortakeoff.com.au and all associated services.
We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) administered by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
What we collect
We collect personal information only when you provide it to us directly:
- Account information: email address, name, and password when you create an account
- Purchase information: billing details processed securely by Stripe (we do not store your card details)
- Email list: email address and optional first name if you subscribe to our free guide or newsletter
- Usage data: which lessons you've completed and your progress through the course
- Contact forms: name, email, and message content when you contact us
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide access to the course and track your progress
- Process payments through Stripe
- Send you course-related emails (receipts, account notifications)
- Send marketing emails if you've opted in — with an unsubscribe link in every email
- Respond to your questions and support requests
- Improve the course based on aggregated, anonymised usage data
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except as required to provide our services (see below).
Third parties we use
- Supabase — database and authentication (data stored in Sydney, Australia)
- Stripe — payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant)
- Mux — video hosting and delivery
- Resend — transactional email
- Vercel — website hosting
Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and security standards. Where possible, we choose providers that store data in Australia or the Asia-Pacific region.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and personal data
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
- Complain to the OAIC if you believe we've breached the Privacy Act
